Janet López is a Chicago based multidisciplinary artist and educator working across disciplines of metalworking, videography, fiber, digital storytelling and creative writing. López received a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a focus in Sculpture and Fiber and Material Studies and a Masters in Arts Teaching from the School of the Art Institute Chicago. Lopez has exhibited work at SITE Galleries, Chicago Art Dept, Buddy Shop Chicago and Galeria De La Raza. Her current inquiries include designing inquiry based curriculum for inner city youth, learning the computation languages of code and surfing the Pacific Ocean.
